In the United States there should be none. Except for a few neurological problems, everyone has access to a free public education. Is illiteracy the fault of parents, schools or the student? Peer pressure an waste education because it is not cool to be smart. Names like teacher's pet and brown noser, are all too familiar.

How can we get adults interested in reading after they graduate from school? This is the information age and everything is changing at a rapid rate. Continue learning or you will become obsolete.
